Accountor HR Solutions: Paving the way to Azure

Accountor HR Solutions, providing comprehensive HR services and software, has collaborated with Polar Squad since 2021 to develop its operations to provide top-notch solutions. In this partnership, Polar Squad’s consultants played a pivotal role in successfully adopting Azure for Accountor HR Solution’s new web service, the Mepco Portal.

Problem

Accountor HR Solutions partnered up with Polar Squad to advance the development of the new solution, a cloud-native application in Azure, and elevate their Azure readiness. The goal was to build customer identity and access management (CIAM) service using Azure's cloud-native capabilities. This initiative, termed "Mepco Identity," aimed to provide end-users with a self-service portal for managing their customer identities and controlling customer access to their Mepco solutions effortlessly.

Solution

Polar Squad stepped in to help build Accountor HR Solution’s Azure capabilities from the ground up. We provided Accountor HR Solutions with experienced Azure infrastructure and development experts, guiding the development team through the process. Key actions included:

  • Foundation Building: Establishing a robust Azure foundation and governance model.

  • Continuous Delivery: Automating the infrastructure and release pipeline to enable continuous delivery for the new SaaS service.

  • Team Coaching: Conducting workshops and coaching sessions to adopt a DevOps mindset within the development teams.

  • Project Execution: Overseeing the project to ensure it reaches production readiness, including automating the necessary processes and delivering a seamless continuous delivery model.

Results

Under Polar Squad's guidance, the project achieved several milestones:

  • Production Readiness: The Mepco Portal and Identity services were built to be production-ready, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment.

  • Team Empowerment: Through coaching and skill development, the internal team at Accountor HR Solutions is now equipped to manage and evolve the service independently. Polar Squad also helped interview candidates for new internal positions.

  • Ongoing Development: The infrastructure and codebase were designed to be dynamic, allowing continuous improvement throughout the product’s lifecycle.
